ITW Fastex NZ designs and manufactures a diverse range of highly engineered components valves and assemblies destined for local and export markets around the world Situated in West Auckland we are a division of the ITW group a wellrespected global industrial company with approximately 13 5 billion dollars in global revenues operating 7 major segments with businesses in 58 countries that employ approximately 48 000 women and men supplying proprietary products to a wide range of industries An opportunity exists for an experienced Manufacturing Manager to join our West Auckland team As a key member of the management team the Manufacturing Manager will be responsible for managing the production team associated production processes training and the production environment to ensure production plans are executed efficiently and effectively In this handson role you will enjoy problem solving and strive for continuous improvement to ensure ongoing operational performance This role is key to the success of our operation and requires someone with proven experience in leading training and coaching people Excellent communication skills are essential and you will need to enjoy working with people to create an environment where teams are empowered to do their very best Key responsibilities will include Leadership Fosters a culture of engagement accountability and excellence Training ensuring staff are inducted and receive ongoing training development to continuously improve competency levels Safety leading supporting the team in safe work practices Creating high awareness and action Quality driving optimum quality outcomes daily Efficiency continually optimising machine performance and balancing staff requirements Continuous Improvement promoting a continuous improvement culture and implementing initiatives for productivity improvement Our preferred applicant will also have 3 years experience in a leadership role A record of leading a strong health safety culture within a production environment Production Planning Scheduling experience A background in plastics processing would be advantageous All applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand To apply for this position please to forward a detailed cover letter and CV to broberts itwindustrial com with the subject line Manufacturing Manager
