Our Finance division at Tauranga City Council is recruiting for a Treasury and Financial Compliance Manager. Reporting to the Manager of Finance, this is a Senior position where you will manage the performance and development of a team of specialist finance staff responsible for the provision of high quality treasury management, , financial compliance, taxation and external reporting.
You will also provide financial advice including on long term planning particularly as it relates to debt and funding, as well as oversight of accounting practices within the wider council businesses.
As part of the Finance leadership team you will be a key influencer in the business. You will lead a team of financial specialists across treasury, financial standards, external reporting, financial processes and taxation.
You will bring your own specialist skillset to the role and contribute across the business and to our long term planning with your professional expertise and advice.
We are looking for someone who will bring a positive and creative mind-set. You will provide direction and support to the finance team and more widely within the business and provide insight and information to our external stakeholders.
As well as being a strategic and innovative thinker you will have strong project organisation and people leadership and skills and a customer centric approach.

You must be a fully qualified Accountant with over 10 years accounting experience including familiarity with treasury and long term strategic financial planning.
