Clinical Nurse Specialist or Registered Nurse Rheumatology Outpatients

  • We have an exciting full-time opportunity available for an exceptional senior nurse looking to support this valuable service on a fixed-term basis whilst we implement a new model of care.

    Whilst this is a fixed-term position at this stage, there is currently a review underway to establish the feasability of this role becoming permanent in the future.

    About the Role what’s in it for me?

    We have an exciting fixed-term opportunity for either a Clinical Nurse Specialist looking for that next step in their nursing career, or a senior Registered Nurse willing to undertake development opportunities to become a Clinical Nurse Specialist.

    As a CNS you will provide specialist rheumatology nursing care and expertise, both in direct care delivery and with the mentoring of staff gain further rheumatology knowledge and skill.

    Or you could be an RN who has a desire to advance on a CNS pathway, the service will support you with training and professional development to develop specialist knowledge and skills within an agreed timeframe.

    In accordance with the position description you will work across the organisation acting in the roles of clinician, educator, consultant, researcher, leader / change agent and care coordinator / case manager in the pursuit of clinical excellence and improved health outcomes.

    This is a full time position, and the successful applicant will work rostered days Monday to Friday between 0800 and 1700, exact times to be negotiated.

    About You

    You will have proven clinical credibility, excellent communication, organisational and time management skills, in addition to a professional can do attitude in line with our values.

    The successful candidate will have advanced nursing knowledge and skills, with an interest in rheumatology and management of patients with chronic disease.

    Prior experience as a practice nurse or in chronic disease nursing is desirable. You will have exceptional communication skills and either hold or be working towards post graduate qualification at a minimum of a diploma or / and a masters degree.
