    The Nurse Lead will bring their skills and experience, clinical excellence, great ideas for productive and efficient methods of working, and a passion for nursing.

    We need someone with great people skills - friendly, compassionate and pro-active in management and genuinely care about people's health and well-being.

    You will be looking after our Urgent Care nurses. For this we require you to have 3-5 years experience working in an urgent care facility.

    If you are ready to step up into a leadership role, or are already an experienced Nurse Lead this is the role for you. Mentoring and support will be available for the right candidate.

    The Nurse Lead will work collaboratively with the Medical Centre Manager, GP Lead and Urgent Care Lead. The nursing team consists of Registered Nurses and Practice Care Assistants with a clinical component undertaken by the nurse lead.

    You will be responsible for recruitment and day to day management. As a collaborate centre leadership team, you will be part of development and implementation of new and existing models of care designed to improve health outcomes and the effective and efficient running of a medical centre.

    This will be a permanent full time role working up to 56 hours per week from Monday to Sunday.

    Key attributes for each role includes :

  • Registered Nurse with current practicing certificate essential.
  • Ideally an expert on the PDRP scale.
  • Masters or Post Graduate in Diabetes / Renal / Cardiac is advantageous.
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Your practice aligns with the principles of The Treaty of Waitangi.
  • An aim to improve healthcare access across the practice population.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build strong rapport with team members.
  • A physically fit person who is confident, friendly and approachable.
