The Role

We have a new opportunity for a Business Development Manager within our sales team based in Auckland. This role will be responsible for seeking out new business opportunities within the commercial sector across all lines of business for ADT both from within our existing customer base and by developing and onboarding new customers.

Specific responsibilities include :

  • Prospect for new customers across multiple industries
  • Develop and implement a sustainable sales plan to achieve financial targets
  • Achieve targeted sales budget as set within the requirements of the overall company financial and operational goals
  • Prepare sales quotations, tenders and proposals with the support of technical estimator team
  • Foster relationships with internal personnel in ADT Security
  • Effectively manage workflow through our CRM
  • The successful candidate will bring to the business a wide and well-established network of contacts within the commercial space in New Zealand along with a proven track record in the sales arena.

    You will not be afraid to pick up the phone or hit the streets to uncover new opportunities and connections. In partnership with this, you will have a keen eye for detail and excellent ability to manage your own workflow.

    Ideally, you will have experience in the security or technology industries although this is not essential.

    Must have

  • Proven success within the sales or account management field
  • Current full driver's license
  • Presentation skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • High level of written & verbal skills
  • Ability to successfully secure a Security Certificate of Approval
  • Nice to have

  • Business-related tertiary qualification preferred
  • Experience in the security or technology industries
  • Sales qualifications or courses preferred
