About the role : Due to an internal promotion we're looking for a Patient Care Coordinator. This is a fast paced and demanding administrative role within a small close knit team where highly rewarding work is carried out every day.

Whilst you'll report to the Practice Manager, you'll work closely with the 5 surgeons within the practice to provide efficient and accurate admin support necessary to allow them to focus on treating their patients to the highest level.

  • You will need to have the resilience, positivity and maturity to cope with the demands of the role.Main duties will include : Providing a friendly welcoming front of house service to all patients and visitors;
  • addressing their needs, offering refreshments and keeping them informed of wait timesProviding accurate admin support to the surgeons incl diary management, scheduling appointments and maintaining all patient recordsScheduling clinic and surgical bookings and providing patients with pre-operation informationLiaising with referring GPs to collate referral letters and relevant patient information, sourcing and uploading blood / biopsy and radiology resultsLiaise with insurance companies for pre-approvals and respond to queries from ACC, insurances companies and other relevant bodies regarding patient informationPreparation of medical letters following consultations, clinics, in-room procedures and surgical procedures and surgeriesCompleting all discharge procedures and coordinating all follow up activities for patientsManaging the invoicing of patients, insurers and ACCMaintain tidiness of the office and consultation roomGeneral office administration incl answering phones, records / file maintenance, dealing with mail / couriers, ensuring stock levels, and assisting with related financial mattersOur ideal candidate will have : Previous medical administration experience within a busy healthcare environmentEmpathy and kindness - and be "patient-centric"Resilience and the ability to thrive in a high paced environmentAttention to detail and accuracy in completing finance and administrative tasksGood typing ability with intermediate computer literacy i.
