We are currently on the lookout for an experienced full time Inventory Controller based in our Auckland DC with responsibility managing our inventory in Auckland and Christchurch.
This role will see you be responsible for the accuracy of inventory and ensuring timely processing in the system of all information relating to DC stock including stock movements and deliveries.
Manage the Inventory Team to drive effective Inventory operation.
Ensure physical stock on hand in the DC is accurate and reflects the inventory levels in the system and aligns with JD Edwards and WMS.
Coordinate stocktakes at both DC’s as required
Reconcile cycle counting and computer results on a weekly basis
Escalate immediately any major stock variances to the Central Planning team, agreeing an action plan to ensure continuity of supply.
Product slotting for new, promotional, phasing and existing stock is accurate and ready prior to items requiring pick.
Manage Short Shelf Life (SSL), rotation and inventory damage to ensure WMS and JDE reconcile and traceability is always being managed.
QA adherence (out of rotation, out of temperature)
Receivers are trained in the inbound process and receipts are reconciled daily.
Daily Negative Inventory Report is reviewed with Customer Service and SCS on daily basis
Product rotation checks are completed daily as agreed
Product disposition is completed as per the SOP
To act as a key point of contact for resolving inventory related queries / inaccuracies between the DC and the Supply Chain Planning team.
To act as the central point of contact for inbound transport enquiries, managing the accuracy of the timeslot allocation process, resolving any scheduling issues and escalation to the Supply Chain team if supply will be affected
Assist in the management of the process for consignment products
Assist Supply Chain Planning team in setting up new products in the Distribution Centre including updating of the system.
The Successful Candidate
Experience in a DC operational environment
Experience using Warehouse Management Systems
Experience using ERP systems
Previous people management experience
Strong attention to detail
Intermediate user proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong numeracy skills
