An exciting opportunity has become available for a Life Senior Actuarial Analyst to provide actuarial, analytical and technical support for the design and implementation of Suncorp’s NZ Life IFRS17 solution.
The NZ Life IFRS17 Project Team will scope, resource, plan and deliver the Suncorp Objectives for the successful implementation of the new IFRS17 Accounting Standard and enabling systems and processes in close partnership with key stakeholders and the project Steering Committee.
Key responsibilities :
Contribute to the implementation of Prophet modelling changes needed for implementation of IFRS17, within a well-structured & controlled Prophet development environment
Support related discovery and future state design and implementation activities in relation to processes and systems, data requirements and financial impacts.
Assist in the redesign and implementation of revised :
actuarial valuation models,
other elements of the financial reporting systems landscape,
financial reporting data flows, and
actuarial and finance financial reporting processes to meet IFRS17 requirements in respect of Life business.
Work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders to drive optimal business outcomes.
What we are looking for :
Prophet modeller with experience carrying out developments in controlled, methodical ways
Analytical mind, with a strong understanding of actuarial data, systems and process implications
Comfortable working in an evolving project environment handling ambiguity, shifting priorities, adapting in an agile way to new information and requirements
Deliverable / deadline oriented a get it done’ attitude
IFRS17 experience desirable, but not essential
5+ years of life insurance experience in an actuarial role
Completion of Part 1 of the exams for Fellowship of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia (or similar)
Effective verbal and written communication skills
In depth knowledge and experience of Prophet actuarial projection system, data extraction and spreadsheet modelling
