Analysing business requirements, creating product backlog items and working with the development team to design and implement the solution.
You will be part of a team building leading digital solutions to enable unforgettable journeys. This role requires at times to be in our Auckland central office along with flexibly to work remotely.
As a business analyst, you will be mainly responsible for the following :
Development
Interview end users, stakeholders, and project sponsors in order to capture and analyse business requirements and process
Organize and facilitate requirement workshops
Create business, functional and non-functional requirement documents
Create and manage product backlog
Communicate requirements to technical team
Work with development team in developing solution
Provide project management team with identified risks, concerns, and ambiguities
discovered during the gathering of requirements
document requirement changes to baseline requirements through standard change
control process
Take an active part in SCRUM processes
Reporting
Keep management and project teams informed of progress status against agreed timeframes
Escalate any issues to management that may compromise delivery.
Relationships :
Work together with management in identifying and implementing improvement initiatives
Work closely with the other members of the digital team to deliver agreed development
projects
Maintain relationships with designated 3rd party software suppliers
Attend WIP meetings with appropriate teams
Skills & Education
2+ years business analysis experience, preferably in a digital, analytics, software or
product development environment
Experience in the software development process, working directly with developers,
testers and non-technical stakeholders in a scrum framework.
Experience using project and issue tracking software, i.e. Jira, Asana, Basecamp etc.
Experience delivering digital projects in an agile capacity
Ability to present product designs and solutions to various stakeholders
Ability to establish excellent cross-functional working relationships, and deliver to
deadlines in a multi-party delivery model
Detail orientated, but work swiftly; balancing your focus on detail and completeness with
your stakeholder's perspectives of value of the work / deliverable
Good client-facing and internal communication skills
Ability to think, plan and act with an innovative approach to problem solving with
competing priorities
A strong user-centric design mind set
