We have an exciting and unique opportunity for a highly skilled investment management professional to join our Investment Management and Asset Performance team and head up the Assurance and Advisory function.

    Our Investment Management and Asset Performance Team is the kaitiaki of New Zealand's Public Service Investment System - ensuring it delivers value and intergenerational wellbeing for all New Zealanders through :

  • Enabling well-informed investment decisions
  • Ensuring the system is efficient, effective and sustainable
  • Enabling those with accountabilities across the system to perform their roles effectively.
  • In this newly created role, we're looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join us as the Head of IMAP's Assurance and Advisory function .

    This role will ensure highly respected advice and assurance is provided and the value from our product suite is maximised - Better Business Case framework, Investment Reviews (Gateway) and the Investor Confidence Rating.

    About You

    This role has a significant external facing component - particularly with senior executives of investment intensive agencies.

    To succeed in this role you will bring exceptional relationship management and inter-personal skills.

    You will be a natural influencer of people, with deep knowledge and understanding of investment and delivery practices both nationally and internationally .

    In addition, you will have significant experience in providing advice to decision makers, preferably in a Government context (this could be from an advisory background).
