About this role
This role focuses on delivering effective customer service, financial planning, evaluating financial performance and providing insight, improving financial controls and transactions.
knowledge of public sector financial management frameworks, processes, and systems; and financial acumen and professional judgment.
This role will liaise with and utilise specialist teams in Finance to ensure the Ministry meets its statutory financial obligations, to deliver value to the Te Rito Programme, and ensure quality and consistent advice and practices.
The role reports to the Finance Manager Corporate, with day-to-day reporting back to the Te Rito Programme Manager.
has a good understanding of financial control and project governance; isn't afraid to be in the detail but can balance that by not losing sight of the big picture.
To be successful in the role, you'll be working collaboratively with key internal stakeholders and developing relationships at all levels.
You'll be communicating through high quality reporting and written advice. You'll have a continuous improvement mind-set to help us improve our processes and deliverables to meet our customers' requirements.
