Titirangi, AucklandCasualWe need someone who can fulfil a range of ad hoc support work for one of New Zealand's leading advertising experts, currently working independently having left his advertising agency last year.

This job is not in a fixed office and suits someone with a lot of initiative who is happy working remotely and linking up via Skype, phone, email and occasionally face to face.

It will help if you have an interest in digital marketing, loyalty marketing, database marketing, brand and general communications, because this is the sort of stuff you will be getting involved in.

The scope of work includes : Research into market categories, marketing law, specialist marketing areas, to provide background for business cases and projects.

This will involve desk research using internet resources.Creation and development of presentations using Keynote and / or PowerPoint.

Ability to develop charts in Excel would be an advantage.Occasional involvement in client meetings - meaning being smart and professional is essential.

Ability to think about business problems and help develop solutionsIn addition the following skills would be useful, but not essential : Ability with graphic design tools such as PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign -

this would be to create and manipulate graphicsFamiliarity with content management systems such as Wordpress - to assist with website creation and editingAbility to work with data in Excel for basic reporting and analysisThe level of work will be variable based on requirements week to week so will suit someone who is looking for interesting occasional work and can cope with it being a bit unpredictable.

  • Although we are indicating around 5 hours a week , paying $25 an hour , the time in a given week might be more, or less;
  • it will probably grow over time and there is a longer term possibility for a permanent role. We will also be open to increasing the hourly rate once ability and contribution have been assessed.
