We are looking for an energetic, hardworking and resilient individual who has experience working in a residential environment, leading youth programmes, managing sports teams, leading mentorship programs or providing leadership to youth in a relevant setting.
You are resilient, pro-active and have experience helping young people to develop life skills and achieve their goals.
We are looking for Casual Specialist Youth Workers to work in a range of Residential Homes based in Auckland. This position is a casual role working morning, afternoon and evening shifts, as well as weekends.
You will have :
Previous experience working with a diverse group of young people
Experience working with youth with complex and challenging behaviour.
Proven experience working alongside rangatahi in a supportive and non-punitive way.
Be culturally aware and willing to be a part of a bi-cultural journey.
Have a full and clean New Zealand driver's licence.
A clear Ministry of Social Development (MSD) and Police vetting check.
What you will do :
Work collaboratively as part of a team.
Be able to build rapport quickly with young people.
Support and empower the young people within the home to undertake their daily activities and meet their goals.
Assist with the day to day running of the home.
Sleepovers as rostered (paid)
