About the role :

This role is responsible for documenting, planning, designing and developing end to end analytic solutions using the current roadmap, technology stack and strategy.

This role will be driving AT's strategic plan to become a self-service, data driven business.

This individual is also responsible for maintaining, monitoring, troubleshooting and improving existing data platform, Business Intelligence and analytic solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop and implement data integration and data warehouse solutions
  • Architect, implement and deploy new data models, data processes, procedures and protocols both in the data platform and in SSAS tabular model (semantic layer) in line with Business Technology and Auckland Transport goals
  • Develop detailed ETL routines, documentation, mappings, scripts and specifications according to user requirement
  • Document inefficiencies or gaps in existing processes and recommend specific and innovative changes to effect improved efficiencies
  • Liaise with various business groups in the organisation to facilitate implementation of new or improved data usage processes
  • Key Requirements :

  • Requires a recognised tertiary degree in Information Systems, Business Administration or relevant business and industry experience.
  • At least 5 years of data warehouse and BI / Analytic related experience
  • Proven experience with technical requirements analysis, business process modelling / mapping, methodology development, and data modelling
  • Requires extensive knowledge in Power BI, SSAS and SQL Server
  • Extensive knowledge of data warehousing methodologies, modelling principles and working experience with toolsets preferably WhereScape Red, SSIS, Business Objects and Azure.
  • Experience with Realtime and Big Data analytics would be advantageous.
