Want to be a part of our team?The MS Engineer (L4) is responsible for ensuring a managed service is provided to all clients, to ensure that their IT infrastructure and systems remain operational.

This is done through proactively managing, overseeing, monitoring, investigating and resolving escalated technical incidents and problems to ensure the restoration of these services to the clients.

The primary objective of this role is to proactively review all client requests or tickets and apply technical process knowledge to provide the clients with almost immediate resolution without breaching service level agreement (SLA).

The MS Engineer (L4) focuses on forth line support for escalated incidents and requests with a high level of complexity.

Ensures contracted Managed Services outcomes are delivered to the client. Radford reference : Performs IT functions such as design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging and implementation of applications programs supporting the company infrastructure business processes and operations and / or network-based (cloud) product systems.

Analyzes, installs, acquires, modifies and supports operating systems, database or utilities software. Plans, conducts and directs the analysis of business problems with automated systems solutions.

Analyzes, designs, acquires and implements projects for LAN and / or WAN systems. Plans, designs, acquires and implements telecommunications voice / wire systems.

At higher job levels, may contribute to the development, testing, evaluation or design of system or infrastructure architecture used throughout the IT solution set.

This team is the 3rd line support for any issues related to the Storage and VMware based infrastructure. This role requires you to : Be the senior subject matter expert responsible for all deployed storage, virtualization hardware and software.

Identify areas of automation within the environment. Use your technical and problem-solving skills assisting team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues within agreed SLA timeframes Ensure services are operated according to our agreements with the client, ensuring maximum service stability and reliability.

Ensure customer satisfaction through the effective delivery of services Work with team lead to ensure incidents, service requests, change requests and action items for assigned services are actioned within agreed SLAs Ensure project work and improvement items for assigned services are delivered in line with client expectations and operational requirements Be responsible for peer reviewing changes within assigned services Ensure completion of daily, weekly, and monthly team processes for assigned services Perform out of hours work as required Be accountable for the handover of all new services into production.

Ensuring that the handover process is followed, and all documentation is complete and accurate. Plan and implement improvements for assigned services Work with Solutions Architect to design changes to assigned services Lead regular service improvement meetings for assigned services (including Senior and System Engineers) Hold knowledge sharing sessions and promote communications amongst the operational teams Highlight presales opportunities to the customer success manager Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

To be the successful candidate you must have the following experience & skills At least 8 years of enterprise experience supporting complex heterogeneous storage and virtualization environments.

Be experienced in managing storage environments with various operating systems Have experience in the management and monitoring of large and complex SAN environments.

Have experience in deploying and managing virtualization technologies focusing on VMWare and Hyper-V. Experience with a wide variety of storage protocols and fabric infrastructure.

Monitoring the environment with industry standard management and monitoring tools and platforms. A knowledge of ITIL and Agile methodologies.

What will make you a good fit for the role? Technical Requirements A high level of competency on Netapp, HP, Pure, Cisco.

Familiar with the storage and multipath configuration requirements on Windows, Linux, AIX, Solaris and VMware. Understanding and experience with SRM, vRealize, and vOrchestrator Experience with storage protocols such as FCOE, iSCSI, FC as well as the management of Cisco fabric switches in relation to zoning and vsans etc Familiar with monitoring products such as Nagios, Splunk, SCOM would be advantageous.

Some of the below qualifications would be advantageous Netapp Professional ITIL Pure Storage Certified Associate VMWare Certified Any other applicable vendor certifications advantageous You will join a dedicated client support team of 30.
