What you’ll be doing
Supporting refugee and migrant learners who are keen to improve their spoken and written language skills. The focus of this class will be English for daily life and work with a mixed level group of learners.
Part Time 2-hour evening class in Matamata, Wednesdays, 6-8pm. Fixed-term contract, early February start until end of June 2021.
Our main Waikato Centre is located in Hamilton, but we offer regional classes in community venues across the Waikato region.
Is this you?
tertiary qualified in TESOL at level 5 or above (e.g. graduate certificate, Bachelor’s degree, post-grad diploma such as CELTA, Cert TESOL, Cert TEAL, Dip SLT).
experienced in ESOL teaching (preferably in a New Zealand context) with the ability to work learners of mixed levels.
a motivated self-starter with strong cultural sensitivity and empathy.
experience delivering online teaching and / or a good understanding of technology for teaching is desirable.
well organised, able to work by distance and meet reporting requirements
