About the role
Contribute to the full range of research, investigation, analysis, assessment, modelling, design, reporting, and presentation tasks with a focus on Data Analytics Projects and SaaS-related products
Lead the delivery of projects internally and externally
Provide technical mentoring and coaching to junior team members
Delegating tasks and set deadlines for junior team members
Empower the team through your influence to deliver the Data, Analytics, and Insights Discipline Strategy
Strive for continuous improvement, efficiency and effectiveness in undertaking all tasks and responsibilities
Build strong relationships and a sharing-culture across the Data, Analytics, and Insight’s discipline
Encourage creativity and innovation
Fulfil role of Project Manager or Project Technical Lead in delivering projects internally
Ensure the delivery of robust data analytics and system design on time and within budget
Ensure robust best practice for data analytics is undertaken across all your work
Support the uptake and implementation of data analytics best practice across the wider Digital Practice
Business Development (Supporting Group Leader & CSMs)
Identify and understand market trends, pursue opportunities and win revenue generating work from existing clients in the Water and Transport sectors
Support the development of new client offerings such as Software as a Service opportunities
Contribute to preparation of tenders and proposals as required.
Data & Systems Engineer - Christchurch, Dunedin or Wellington
To be successful for this role you'll need :
An aptitude for computing, data and technology. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or Mathematics, Geography or Environmental Sciences.
Demonstrated ability to understand problems and develop creative solutions
Competent in relevant technical fields, including use of software and computer systems
A real interest in developing automated systems
Competent communicator (both written and verbal)
