With a clinical background as a Medical Officer of Health, youwill be working directly for the Ministry of Health as part of theleadership team of the National Contact Tracing Service in the keyrole of Clinical Lead.

You will provide expert clinical leadership and direction forthe National Contact Tracing Service and give advice on :

  • all elements related to a pathway of contact tracing
  • national clinical policies, standards, guidelines andprocedures
  • national monitoring and reporting
  • quality assurance and improvement
  • providing clinical advice on enhancements to the NationalContact Tracing (IT) Solution
  • This role will be influential in ensuring the clinicalinteraction between the Ministry and Public Health Units isaligned.

    The Disease Control & Facilitation team require a MedicalOfficer of Health or public health nurse or health protectionofficer who is highly skilled and experienced in diseaseinvestigation for the Wellington-based team.

    Your expertise will be required to support the establishment ofthe investigative capability within the Ministry of Health tosupport Public Health Units with case investigations and thecoordination of multi-jurisdictional clusters and cases.
