As Fisher & Paykel Appliances moves into a new phase of its history, global demand for both our appliances and technology is growing.

To gain momentum as a global player leading innovation in the appliances' market, we are looking for a talented Direct Procurement Manager who will provide vision and leadership to a talented team of Global Category Managers.

To achieve this, we are looking for an experienced procurement professional with commercial acumen that understands all the intricacies of procurement, along with a proven track record of team leadership.

This will include the supplier qualification process, supplier relationship management, category strategies & planning, new product introductions and cost competitiveness to name a few.

This role will also be instrumental in inspiring an already high performing and very capable team. Within Fisher & Paykel Appliances team culture, morale and collaboration is very high up on our priority list and will be no different for this team.

In this changing world with new challenges, we will as a strategic imperative, have a focus on strengthening our Supply Chain resilience to ensure supply continuity of parts to our factories, and products to our markets.

So who are you?

The successful applicant will have a tertiary qualification along with at least five year's in-depth procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

You will have a team of up to seven with a number requiring distance leadership, so proven leadership experience is a must have.

This is a critical role for the business and will be responsible for direct spend of approx. NZ$340 million. Expertise in managing a budget of that size would be a great advantage.
