We are acting now and aligning to the strategic direction of our business. This new way of operating will enable a collaborative model combining strong operational line management with end to end process expertise.

As such we are now looking for a Strategy Advisor to join the team. About the role You'll be responsible for leading and facilitating the development and evolution of NZ Post Operating Strategy and its supporting Operating model.

You'll do this through the ideation process within and without CSD (Customer Service Delivery). You will own our target state, translating the organisational strategy into operating strategic outcomes that support our enterprise goals and overall purpose.

This will be achieved through :

  • Developing and maintaining the NZ Post operating strategy
  • Developing CSD business plan and manage strategic risk
  • Running and coordinating the ideation process across CSD You'll facilitate, develop and review our operating strategy with the leadership team ensuing alignment and commitment outcomes.
  • You will lead benchmarking activities, identifying relevant best practices, and key organisational changes required to support the strategy.

    You'll also strategic and annual business planning development, working in collaboration across the leadership team, maintain and evolve target operating models, lifting operational maturity over time.

    Establishing and embedding robust innovation management processes will see the CSD respond to future disruptions, emerging technologies and ways of operating, keeping them at the forefront of our industry.

    About you To do all of this you'll need to be an experienced strategist with a proven track record of measurably improving commercial outcomes through best practice frameworks.

    You'll have honed your skills within the supply chain, freight, retail or a consultancy environment. With an understanding of best practice operating model design, you'll be experienced in analysis of organisational structures for best fit with design principles.

    You'll couple this with the ability to manage multiple cross functional stakeholders and experience in working with senior leadership and consulting firms and be confident presenting to executive leadership.

    You'll possess the following attributes

  • A high level of ability with data analysis, interrogation and visualisation
  • The ability to present findings in an accurate, compelling and succinct manner
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to develop error checking methodologies
