Job Description

Are you an experienced Key / National Account Manager looking to join a global ASX listed organisation and take the next step in your career?

As a valued part of the Sales and Support Services team, your role will be to manage a portfolio of CHEP’s key current customers primarily in the FMCG food and beverage sector for retention and growth.

Maintaining strong relationships with all levels of your customer base will be key to success. This role will be based out of our Auckland head office in Wiri and reports directly to the National Sales Manager.

The key responsibilities of this role include :

  • Protect CHEP’s current business and develop and execute expansion initiatives for existing customers
  • Actively engage customers to understand how CHEP can support their supply chain activity
  • Conduct major commercial negotiations with Key Customer Accounts, to maximise growth opportunities
  • Maintain structured call plans with a proactive customer approach and response
  • Actively defend competitive threats through understanding your customer needs, developing solutions to prevent market share loss and formalising relationships with structured agreements
  • Establish regular forecast, review and innovation meetings
  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure supply and understand seasonal influences
  • The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, experience and qualifications :

  • B2B sales experience and relationship selling; food industry experience would be highly regarded
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Logistics or a related field
  • Strong relationship management, influencing, negotiation and leadership skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A solid level of financial and commercial acumen
  • Ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Preferred Education

    Bachelors Logistics Management

    Preferred Level of Work Experience

    5 7 years
