  • Our service provides accommodation and intensive support services for clients who have high and complex needs. Join our clients on their reintegration journey, providing a safe environment and supporting them with their goals and daily tasks.

    About The Role :

    You'll work in a small team of residential staff to contribute to a safe environment to support the young person to engage in therapy, daily living routines, and in meaningful programmes and educational / vocational activities as outlined in the person's goal plan.

    You will support clients to develop good sleep practices, while supporting when necessary with distraction tools. The work you will undertake in this role can sometimes be challenging and resilience is a must have quality for this role.

    You'll need to have the ability to remain calm, practical and rational when in complex situations or incidents. In return you'll be able make a difference and help youth to realise their potential.

    The hours for this role are a wakeover of 10.30pm-7.00am, on a 4 nights on 2 nights off rotating roster. This role is a permanent part time role, with a minimum of 56 hours per fortnight.

  • What you need : .

  • Ideally have a Health and Wellbeing Qualification (or similar), however if you're willing to commit to working towards a qualification then we would love to hear from you as we can offer some support around this.
  • Ideally have previous experience as a support worker in a residential service
  • It's essential that you have a Full New Zealand Driving Licence
  • Strong computer skills, a 'can-do' attitude and be able to demonstrate strong personal and professional boundaries.
  • Flexible, you will be required to work on a roster as the service provide support to our clients 24 hours 7 days a week.
