Senior Trainer In this role you will develop and provide specialised Shine professional community and inhouse training on topics relating to family violence tailored for a variety of audiences You will be further developing and delivering the DVFREE workplace programme as part of a small team including preprogramme contact to engage with interested people and explain the programme policy consultation and training development and delivery Requirements Qualified health or social sector professional ideally with postgraduate qualifications in one or more of the following Psychology Social Work Mental Health Counselling Women s Studies Trauma Studies or a closely related field NZ Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching level 4 or 5 would be an advantage Experience in the family violence field preferred A good understanding of the power and control analysis and dynamics of family violence is required Educational experience with confidence and experience in training and facilitating Highly skilled at oral and written communication to provide reports of a professional standard Flexibility to travel out of Auckland as needed Knowledge and experience of cultural differences and the ability to understand how to incorporate this knowledge into the delivery of culturally appropriate services which are consistent with the Treaty of Waitangi Able to work under pressure with excellent time management and organisational abilities A can do attitude and ability to tackle and prioritise a wide variety of tasks Computer literate to intermediate level in Microsoft Word PowerPoint and Excel Has a clean drivers licence with a reliable vehicle Here at Shine we provide a range of effective practical and innovative services that help thousands of adults and children affected by domestic abuse every year We help both directly and indirectly through our frontline services and our professional training programmes Shine is part of Presbyterian Support Northern We are a valuesled organisation with a long history of providing community support services Everything we do focuses on creating a better life for everyone We partner with others to provide advocacy and trusted services to our clients We re also driven by compassion and respect for others and we respect the Treaty of Waitangi Shine requires a commitment to living a violence free lifestyle both personally and professionally For a detailed role profile email Recruitment psn org nz Sally Ward09 815 4595
