The primary purpose of
the Sous Chef is to support the Head Chef and lead the team in the absence of the Head Chef. You're a leader, trainer and mentor to all senior and junior Chefs as well as Kitchen Hands.
A Sous Chef is a developmental role with the aim to expand on already strong cookery skills, management skills, an understanding of menu costings and how to run a kitchen efficiently and innovatively.
The ideal candidate will :
Have at least 3 years experience in a similar role, we will accept applications from Senior Chefs who have experience around COG’s and ordering.
Have exceptional culinary skills with a passion for pushing the boundaries
Have proven communication skills
Ability to empower team by passing on culinary knowledge and experience
Show a willingness to be hands-on during key service times weekends and evenings included
Have an ability to follow and execute Food Safety plan and follow company procedures
Have high personal standards passed on to the entire kitchen team
