  • The Dunedin City Council is the local authority forthe wider Dunedin area, which covers 3340 square kilometers from north ofWaikouaiti to the Taieri River in the South and inland to Hyde.

    We provide a range of facilities, includingplaygrounds, reserves, pools, libraries, an art gallery and a museum. Ourservices range from registering dogs to urban design, collecting rubbish tofunding community groups and plenty in between meaning no two days in HR arethe same!

    This is a broad role, where you will partner with aspecific portfolio within the Council, working alongside them to providestrategic and tactical HR solutions to their business requirements.

    SupportingGeneral Managers and their leadership teams to enhance capability andperformance in their area, you will have excellent stakeholder managementskills and bring a wealth of generalist knowledge to the table.

    From workforceplanning, HR advice and ER through to restructures, understanding metrics,managing risk and ensuring forward planning is undertaken to allow the businessto meet its objectives through annual and long-term plans.

    Additional to your portfolio, you will also be thespecialist in Organisational Development for the Council. Working with theother HR Business Partners who have their own specialities and portfolios, youwill apply your skills to their portfolios and organisational wide as required.

    While you will be the subject matter expert, you will also be backed up by ourHR Operations team which help deliver HR projects, analytics and support asrequired and will have the collegial support and assistance of the wider team.
