Our Christchurch branch has an opportunity for Prepared Produce Manager within our Warehouse Division. The incumbent should be energetic, reliable and can work well within a team.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can manage and oversee the prepared produce department on designated shift to achieve overall operational objectives and to plan, organize, lead and control the department.

Previous NZ experience in a supervisory position within a similar industry is manadatory. Having a relevant tertiary qualification will be an added advantage.

The days and hours of work are between Monday and Friday from 8 pm to 4 30 am.The successful applicant will possess the following qualities and attributes : One year’s relevant experienceRelevant tertiary qualification is advantageous but not mandatoryWorks well under pressure and able to prioritise daily work demandsHave an understanding of continuous improvementHave a can do attitude, and able to work with a diverse work forceHealth and safe advocate for the departmentProcess management, time management, and able to work with minimum supervisionexcellent oral and written communication skillsnumeracy and an understanding of finance for stock managementpeople management skills, including the ability to inspire, lead and motivate a team of people, delegate work and explain ideasteam working skillsanalytical abilityaccuracy and attention to detailinitiative and decisivenesstechnical and IT skills, particularly when it comes to database management and spreadsheetsproblem-solving skills and the ability to work on a tactical and strategic levelYour key responsibilities will include : Leading and motivating a teamTeam ManagementImproving departmental performance on daily activities.

Process checks and inspections as required for maintaining qualityWork with Compliance Manager to ensure Health & Safety performance is integrated into all aspects of warehouse activity and is integrated into the teamAdhere to company risk management and environmental policies.
