We have a fundamental belief in the importance of the Service Manager position to support the effective delivery of a safe, high quality service.
The role :
The increasing complexity of people we support requires speciality focussed Service Managers to provide leadership and support to their teams in a small number of highly specialised services such as aged care, mental health, autism and behaviour / disability support.
As a Service Manager with Specialty focus, you will be a registered health professional responsible for providing day to day management of the services within your specialty area.
You will provide guidance and support to other Service Managers and participate positively and proactively in our communities of practice.
Service Managers are respected as professionals who largely self-manage their hours. The Service Manager role is salaried with a degree of flexibility that will include 5 days across a 7 day Mon -
Sun period. Some on-call work will also be required.
You will contribute to improving outcomes for the people we support by using your clinical skills to coordinate and facilitate multi service involvement.
Mentoring, directing and delegating your staff to ensure positive outcomes for the people we support across the homes and facilities you are responsible for managing.
This role will suit a registered health professional with experience in the disability sector and managing teams, however, candidates with an interest in the disability sector, transferable skills and an evidenced motivation to learn will also be considered.
You will be able to provide a person centred holistic approach to service support in partnership with staff, the people we support and their families / whanau.
You will have attention to detail, be well organised and understand the balance between coordination and administration of your staff, budgets and services and the importance of being out in the community using your clinical skills with the people we support.
