  • We welcome applicants for a Senior Advisor role in the OIA Services team.

    This is a fast paced role with responsibility for ensuring the Ministry meets all requirements under the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA).

    It affords you the opportunity to deliver responses to requests made under the OIA, and to contribute to the Ministry's Proactive Release programme.

    Seniors Advisors are responsible for :

  • Delivering key pieces of work in a collaborate way across the team, Directorate and Ministry
  • Produce high quality work utilizing significant technical OIA skills gained through your experience of working in the field of official information
  • Handling a caseload of requests for official information made under the OIA
  • Manageing each response from start to finish, drafting responses on behalf of the Ministry, and on behalf of all Ministerial offices.
  • You will have excellent organisational skills, as well as strong written and oral communication skills. You will bring a can-do attitude, an attention to detail, and a proven ability to work to deadlines.

    Previous experience in processing and responding to OIA requests is essential.
