Interprofessional Programme Administrato Wellington INTERPROFESSIONAL PROGRAMME ADMINISTRATORUNIVERSITY of OTAGO WELLINGTON About the Programme The Multidisciplinary Rural Immersion Health Training programme in Tair whiti Tair whiti Interprofessional Education TIPE programme is now expanding to include a South Island site SIIPE The programme brings senior preregistration students from different health disciplines together to learn with from and about each other while gaining clinical experience in rural New Zealand Key learning objectives incorporate principles of rural health care Hauora M ori long term condition management and interprofessional health care The programme is run by the University of Otago in conjunction with other tertiary education providers and the local district health boards The new site in the South Island SIIPE is to be scoped selected and managed to run similarly in conjunction with TIPE with new local partnerships and locally appointed staff About the Role This Wellington based position is focused on supporting the Interprofessional Programme Manager in the ongoing delivery of the TIPE programme and the scoping and development of the new SIIPE site The timeframe to scope the new SIIPE location is short and your ability to work to tight deadlines in a calm and professional manner will be crucial in achieving success in this position Interprofessional education administration can be complex and challenging as well as very rewarding While there is routine work challenges may unexpectedly arise that require immediate attention and your ability to prioritise and problem solve will be needed In addition excellent communication skills and ability to work with a wide variety of stakeholders is important as you support staff and students who are working at a distance from the Wellington campus Key tasks include Assisting in the development and maintenance of a contacts database and communication strategy for SIIPE Gathering collating preparing and or producing information materials and documents and distributing for both TIPE and SIIPE Updating project databases extract data provide reports transcripts class lists and other relevant data Reporting on KPIs as required in the contract with partner organisations Using webforms for managing student applications Maintain accurate financial records for existing and proposed IPE sites in accordance with University of Otago policies and procedures Your Skills and Experience Demonstrated previous experience in administrative roles Experience in an education or government department is a plus Selfmotivated and able to actively contribute to strategic planning and management Experience working in a contract setting meeting and reporting on KPIs Strong computer skills particularly MS Office suite Excellent verbal and written communication skills A willingness to learn about the principles of interprofessional education A friendly and customer focused yet professional approach with staff and students Project administration experience An awareness of M ori customs values and beliefs Further Details This is a fulltime fixedterm position for 18 months This role is an exciting opportunity to get involved with both the TIPE and SIIPE programmes within the University of Otago Wellington and the opportunity to make a contribution to the learning and development of senior health professional students here in New Zealand Applications quoting reference number 1902303 will close on Thursday 5 December 2019
