Our friendly team in Rotorua islooking for an experienced or partially qualified Transmission Line Mechanic tojoin them and work on many current and upcoming maintenance and constructionwork.

The role

Reportingto the Supervisor, your safety and that of others around you is your number onepriority in this role. The work is varied and you’ll take part in key TransmissionLines maintenance and construction works. You'll also :

  • Develop work plans for construction and servicing of transmission equipment
  • Operate ground and structure mounted electrical equipment associated with transmission lines
  • Perform transmission installation and maintenance works as directed
  • Ensure relevant field paperwork, asset information, inspection documentation and other relevant paperwork are completed on a timely and accurate basis

    You’ll be predominantly working on our maintenance projects and will requireyou to travel across the wider Rotorua region and be fairly flexible with workingaway’.

    To be successful in this role, you’ll also need :

  • NZ Line Mechanic qualification or a partial qualification with a current NZ EWRB Practicing licence (ideal but not essential)
  • A valid Class 2 driver’s licence
  • Proven knowledge and experience in Transmission work environments would be beneficial
