Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for a People Operations Lead to head up our new People Operations team within our People & Brand function.

With a focus on brilliant simplicity, and ongoing innovation of our operational effectiveness, the leader of this team will be passionate about creating delightful moments that matter across each touchpoint of the employee lifecycle.

We’re looking for someone to help us transform our employee experience.

They’ll be responsible for :

  • Creating the long-term strategic plan for People Operations, and driving quarterly goal outcomes
  • Building our talent pipeline by collaborating with Business Partners and the OD team to develop a strong Employee Value Proposition and employer brand
  • Co-designing, implementing and maintaining our remuneration and incentive framework
  • Ownership of our HRIS and related systems and data, including creating the business case for future improvements
  • Continuous improvement of our people processes challenging the status quo, and seeing opportunities to create greater efficiencies with fewer clicks.
  • But we’re not just looking for someone who can tick these boxes. We like to think our People Operations Lead will be akin to a Formula 1 mechanic.

    Not only do you know every part of our engine and how it works, but you’re also always looking for ways to shave fractions of seconds off the clock.

    You know that data is the key to making great decisions, and it needs to be easy to collate and consume. You also know you’re not just working on today’s race and getting your hands dirty fixing the gear box now, you’re planning for how you can make the F1 car go faster next month, next year and beyond.

    You’ll be awesome at :

  • Getting the new People Ops team set up and really humming using continuous improvement cycles, drawing on regular insights from our global team
  • Collaborating across our wider #TeamGallagher especially with colleagues in IS, Finance, and Legal
  • Creating policies that act as guardrails, rather than a prescriptive word syrup, and processes if required that are short and intuitive
  • Taking an adaptive approach to propelling us forward being pragmatic not seeking perfection
  • Creating systems that are trusted, reliable and easy to use
  • Knowing leadership is about collaboration and coaching rather than control
  • This is a solid challenge for an experienced People Operations leader who has done this type of work before, relishes the opportunity to make a big impact, and is looking to do meaningful connected work that will make a massive difference to our rapidly growing global team.
