Te Tai Ōhanga, The Treasury is the New Zealand Government's lead economic and financial advisor. Our vision is to be a world-
leading Treasury working towards higher living standards for New Zealanders. To strengthen our policy capability and our own expertise, we are looking for several people to join us as Senior Analysts or Principal Advisors, focussing on bringing te ao Māori perspectives and insights to policy issues .
These newly-created positions have a strong policy focus and will provide leadership and support for building Te Tai Ōhanga's internal Māori policy capability.
You will gain exposure to a range of important economic, social and strategy issues, and help to shape their direction. You will have the opportunity to operate across the Treasury and to test existing thinking through constructive debate.
By bringing a broader level of experience and expertise in engaging with Māori policy perspectives and world views, you will help us gain real traction in building our policy capability.
You are a motivated individual who can bring a level of initiative, drive and enthusiasm to the role. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills are vital, along with a professional and positive 'can do' attitude.
You will have strong capability in te reo Māori me ōna tikanga (Māori language, customs and practices), be able to engage externally and within te ao Māori, as well as extensive policy experience.
