We have exciting internship opportunities to join our Waihi & Macraes (Otago) operations.
The interns will have the opportunity to utilise the knowledge they have gained from their tertiary studies within a practical mining environment by carrying out work and projects assigned by their department team.
Key tasks and responsibilities :
Gaining practical experience within a field of tertiary study Mine Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Geology, Finance, Health and Safety, Purchasing and Logistics, Surveying and Environmental while working with a team of experts who will mentor and coach you
Carrying out work and projects as directed by department managers and team members
Developing an understanding of the gold mining process and how specialist fields of study contribute to this
Develop strong relationships with colleagues and other Interns to contribute to the success of the team
Participate in activities and projects that may form part of the Intern programme
Presentation to Site Management team at the conclusion of the Intern programme on experience and key learnings.
Other activities as required to support the success of the function and wider organisation
The successful candidate will have :
Qualifications : second or third year study of a relevant Degree qualification
Full and current driver's licence, ability to drive manual vehicles is preferred
Commitment to work 10 / 12 weeks or longer from end December until the middle of February
