About The Role

We are looking for an Event Streaming specialist with a strong background in application integration, to join our Integration business.

You will focus on providing thought leadership, interaction with stakeholders, architectural input, industry participation, as well as hands-on technical leadership and delivery.

You will be the go-to Event Streaming expert and mentor in Datacom, who will work with our Integration Developers and Architects to design, build and execute solutions for our customers.

This role would suit someone with a strong technical background in Event Streaming products, technical leadership and the delivery of software-based integration solutions.

While Event Streaming is a key focus of this role, there will also be opportunities to become involved with other exciting integration technologies.

As a senior team member, you'll be part of an exciting team and have the opportunity to mentor staff, investigate new technologies and support the overall strategic direction and development of the unit.

You will work with a team of passionate, innovative, and dedicated people that focuses on getting the job done whilst delivering the latest solutions to our clients.

What You’ll Bring

  • Hands on experience with Event-Driven Design and Development using Kafka and / or Solace
  • Strong Integration design, development, testing and deployment experience
  • Experience in technical design to meet architecture and business requirements
  • Understanding of cloud (IaaS, PaaS, iPaaS, SaaS etc.), Microservice Architecture, I&AM approaches
  • Understanding of DevOps technologies, with the ability to work closely with the rest of the development team at a technical level Experienced with the release of APIs / Applications via CI / CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar Familiar with automated testing concerns
  • Technical leadership or mentoring experience System implementation, and leadership throughout the development process including taking ownership of end-to-end delivery Working closely with Solution Architects on integration and related technical design Able to drive and lead technical discussions with customers and co-workers Able to guide others and provide constructive technical feedback in a professional and non-confrontational manner You will be energetic and passionate about technology and learning new skills and tools, have strong communication skills and be a team player.
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal

    The following experience would be an advantage :

  • Other Event streaming technologies e.g. Azure Event Hubs, Solace
  • Experience with implementing SOA, ESB and API based solutions
  • Hands on experience with API Management or Integration platforms such as Mulesoft, Azure APIM, 3Scale, WSO2, Oracle / IBM integration suites, Apache Camel, Kong, or similar
  • Experience in both agile and waterfall projects
  • Holder of integration or cloud related certifications
  • Cloud technologies and experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Containers or Container Platforms e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift
  • API and Service Modelling, RAML and / or OAS Design and Implementation
