We are seeking a highlymotivated Financial Reporting Analyst to join our Financial Reporting team fora six-month fixed term.

This is an exciting time to join our high performingteam as we are at a crucial stage in our implementation of a new financial managementinformation system.

You will play a critical role in supporting the teamthrough the changes to implement the new system.

You will be based inin the heart of Wellington in our brand-new Cuba Street office with easy accessto many of the fantastic places and opportunities that people love about ourcapital city.

About the role :

Therole of the Reporting Analyst is to support the financial reporting team indelivering timely, accurate financial information for the Annual Report andprovide functional support for the financial reporting components of our FMISmigration program.

Skills and experiencerequired :

The role will have astrong focus on core financial accounting areas including general ledger,treasury and cash management, fixed asset accounting, project accounting (includingresource costing) and require a flair for data analysis.

To be successful inthis the ideal candidate will need to have the following : -

Qualifications,skills and experience

An accounting Degree

Two years financial accounting experience

Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices

Good knowledge of TechOne and SAP systems

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel (advanced level)

Knowledge of taxes (PAYE, GST and FBT)

Personal attributes and behavioural competencies

  • Knowledge of tikanga Maori;
  • Excellent communication skills and able tocommunicate effectively with all levels of management and staff;
  • Great attention to detail;
  • Able to take responsibility for assignedtasks and duties, completing them to a high standard within requiredtimeframes;
  • Hard working, diligent and thorough with ahigh level of self-motivation;
  • Highly developed problem solving andanalytical skills;
  • Dynamic and motivational in approach;
  • Able to work under pressure and is preparedto meet tight deadlines;
  • Works well in a team environment servingfinance customers;
  • Maintains good documentation.
