He angitūtanga : The opportunityWe’re looking for a Project Administrator & Grant Specialist to join our Waterways Planning team within Lifecycle Management, you will be an integral part of the Healthy Waters team by assisting the delivery of the Mahurangi East Land Restoration Programme.

You will provide technical assistance to the project teams and will be responsible for the processing of regional waterways protection fund grants.

Your knowledge of environmental science, in particular, freshwater science, and use of geospatial mapping software will aid in ensuring the environmental outcomes sought for by the project are achieved.

He kōrero mōu : About youWe’re looking for someone who has knowledge of land management practices, the Healthy Waters Waterways Protection grants process and a good understanding of National Policy Statement for Freshwater Management, relevant National Environmental Standards and the future outcomes being sought for by these policies.

Prior experience with stormwater management in rural Auckland would be an advantage.You will achieve a high level of customer satisfaction, particularly in relation to grants applications that the department receives.

A natural collaborator, we will value your strong relationship building and communication skills as you’ll be working with wider internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive strategic outcomes.

You will hold a Bachelor of Science or equivalent and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ngā āhuatanga kei a mātou : What we offerThis is a 12 month fixed-term contract.
