OjiFibre Solutions is New Zealand’s leading manufacturer of pulp, paper andsuppliers of packaging solutions to a wide range of industries throughout thecountry.

Our Paper Bag business based inPenrose, Auckland designs and produces multi-wall bags for the Dairy, Cement,Flour and Sugar industries throughout the country and into offshore markets.

We have an opportunity for an experienced Supply ChainManager to join our organisation. Reportingto our Facility Manager, you will be responsible for driving the Supply Chainfunction for our Paper Bag business and ensuring they are delivering on agreedbusiness targets.

Managing a team of 10,including two direct reports based in Auckland, your proven leadership skillsare vital to ensure your team is highly engaged and motivated to deliver onbusiness targets, whilst providing them with planned development and successionopportunities.

A pivotal role that will see you focus and drive operationalperformance through effective and strategic planning, managing suppliers toensure cost control, co-ordinate and lead the continuous improvement drive,develop and execute planning to drive improvement, EHSR excellence throughleadership, Develop a performance culture by recruiting, retaining anddeveloping a high performing team and driving financial results under yourcontrol including freight and storage.

To be considered for the role you need to show evidence of :

  • Proven experience as a Supply Chain Manager,with strong strategic leadership with the ability to develop and implement soundlong term business plans i.e. forecasting
  • Exceptional leadership skills with provenexperience leading / developing and motivating technical specialists and / orprofessional level managers
  • Proven Operational experience withinmanufacturing, packaging or a fast paced, high volume environment, with a solidunderstanding of relevant H&S, scheduling, supply chain management, managingsupplier contracts, manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques andperformance
  • Sound understanding of business drivers
  • Confident communicator with the ability tochallenge the status quo and drive a diverse team
  • Tertiary qualifications are preferred but notessential if you have proven leadership ability
  • Strong computer literacy
