We have an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced Social Work leader to join our Starship Paediatric Social Work service.
Starship Child Health provides services to children and young people with acute, complex and chronic healthcare needs from throughout New Zealand and the South Pacific, as well as providing secondary services to our local population.
The Starship Allied Health Service is a cluster of six different services Hospital Play Specialists, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Therapy, Dietetics and Social Work services, and strives to be a hub of innovation and service excellence.
A recent restructure to social work team has led to the creation of a new leadership role The profession specific Social Work Clinical Lead that will provide both clinical and operational leadership to the Paediatric Social Work team
Reporting to the Service Clinical Director, Allied Health Starship, you will be responsible for the clinical leadership, service provision and development, quality, staff and patient safety portfolios.
Working collaboratively with services within Child Health, you will provide innovative approaches that will take our Social Work service to the next level of performance and enhance the development of services and staff.
Of paramount importance will be the ability to bring together, balance and deliver the combined demands of quality, operations and business management through outstanding leadership and delegation.
Suitable applicants will ideally have a post graduate management or clinical qualification and possess the following attributes :
