opportunity has arisen as the Nurse Educator for Ward
A8. In this area you will provide nursing leadership, clinical coaching, and act
as a resource for both new and experienced staff.
unique ward accommodates both the Acute Stroke Unit and Vascular Surgery
specialties. A8 is currently a 24-bed ward and we are actively planning the service
development and opening of the additional Progressive Care Unit (PCU). We are a
passionate and dynamic team who support a diverse patient group.
In A8 we aim to hold ourselves accountable to team
values through the establishment of monthly goals and focuses. Our current
priority is teamwork and kindness. Our nursing and hospital aide team is
diverse with a myriad of backgrounds and expertise which brings a richness of
knowledge and skill to patient care. You will be well supported in this role by
the whole healthcare team.
the development of widespread competence in the nursing team is essential, and
it requires a strategic planned approach to be successful. This role
facilitates the progression of current education resources, as well as the
development of future strategic growth, including the opportunity to be
directly involved in the development of the new PCU service and implementation
of higher acuity nursing. So, if you are a Registered Nurse with extensive
clinical experience and a passion for quality nursing we would love to hear
broad knowledge and extensive experience will place you perfectly as an
educational resource for the team. This will allow you to coach and support the
clinical learning of the nursing team while promoting evidence-based practice.
You will be supported through close collaboration with the
Nursing Director and Senior Nursing team in A8,
across the wider cluster and throughout the CDHB.
The A8 Nurse Educator role
includes developing and strengthening current
education resources and delivery of programs, as well as supporting individual
