The division employs over 3,000 people through more than 130 branches and sites across New Zealand.The Role : Reporting to the Merchandise Manager, this role will see you supporting our timber and building product categories, along with our stores and suppliers to help continually grow the categories within Mico and PlaceMakers.
As part of our merchandise team, you will be based here at our National Office in Penrose.Your core function will be focused on providing product and promotional support for our stores and delivering key initiatives across specific category lines.
You will own and maintain all product information and make careful use of pricing analysis and market trends to determine the best product range for our stores.
You will be responsible for -Supporting category strategy, ranging and pricingProviding recommendations, reporting and data / competitor analysis to category managersAssisting with catalogue content / creationProviding support to the branch network regarding any queriesAssisting the wider team in sourcing the right products whilst optimising our purchasing power through effective negotiation skillsAbout You : Your ability to build meaningful working relationships both internally and externally is essential.
You will be a great communicator and enjoy speaking with people from all walks of life and you will also have solid influencing skills engaging with key suppliers at a strategic level and brainstorming ways to add value to our customers.
