    Operations Site Leader, LabServ

    Reports to :

    Director, Finance and Operations, Finance ANZ

    Position Location : Auckland, New Zealand

    Number of Direct Reports : 5

    How you'll make an impact :

    You’ll be leading a diverse, dynamic and proud team that makes and delivers laboratory consumables that are

    designed to perform in demanding laboratory environments, enabling

    our customers to achieve their goals which include fighting crime, diagnosing illness, ensuring food safety and enabling positive outcomes for the environment.

    What will you do?

    Build and maintain a best in class safety work culture ensuring a high level of safety awareness and involvement among team members

    Develop a high performing team by motivating, challenging and coaching direct reports, ensuring they take accountability and facilitate on-going personal development for themselves and their teams

    Build effective teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals

    Drive engagement and creating a climate where employees are motivated to find

    solutions to tackle challenges, improve our processes and make work easier for themselves and their team

    Oversee and manage site operation expenses to meet budgets and financial objectives

    Drive business unit performance through utilisation of key performance indicators and continuous improvement

    Incorporates lean leadership and PPI tools into daily work, including visual management, stand-up meetings, gemba walks, and leader standard work.

    Partner with the commercial team, providing technical and strategic support and input on pricing decisions to ensure profitable outcomes for the business

    Build credibility and engage with customers to develop solutions to meet their needs and identify growth opportunities

    Drive high performing planning and distribution functions to enable manufacturing supply to meet commercial / customer demand

    Builds strong alliances with stakeholders to ensure the goals and performance of the operation directly support the ANZ business goals and commitments.

    Monitors, reviews, and improves manufacturing and quality related activities and provides leadership to investigations, corrective and preventative actions.

    How will you get here?

    Experience and Qualifications

    Experience working within an environment focused on growth and lean cost structure

    Experience using practical process improvement (PPI) and lean tools to solve problems and drive productivity and efficiency gains

    Track record in high volume dynamic manufacturing environment and the need for flexibility and responsiveness to meet changing customer demand

    Track record in developing and implementing successful employee engagement strategies

    Experience collaborating and being a site champion within a global and matrix organisation regardless of reporting structures

    Experience in aligning manufacturing capability with portfolio strategy

    Experience in negotiating with suppliers and stakeholders

    Previous experience in plastic product manufacturing and / or equivalent qualification desirable,

    degree in engineering

    Experience handling difficult and challenging situations including tough people challenges, such as high turnover
