The Community Finance team play a critical role in disrupting predatory lending practices and contributing to a higher achieving New Zealand.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Finance Credit Analyst to join us. You will be the primary point of contact for external Community Finance Loan Workers and facilitate all interactions and process within BNZ.
You will be responsible for preparation of credit submissions, assessment of loans and quality of documentation gathered.
In this role you will : Support the wider Community Finance partnership to deliver programmes in New Zealand communities, primarily StepUp loans Responsible for the BNZ Community Finance inbox and phone enquiry line, monitoring and managing all forms of communication and enquiries received Actively contribute and support process improvement changes Preparation of credit submissions, assessment of loans and quality of documentation gathered.
Provide support, enhancing our customers experience by responding to their unique needs. Support the wider Community Finance team to build and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with key external stakeholders and all levels of the internal business Skills and experience we are looking for : Ideally 3-
5 years lending and credit experience, including preparing and analysing lending proposals Good understanding of lending principles, credit assessment, financial analysis, accounting skills and legal matters Analysing Customer financial accounts and budgets Good knowledge of Bank policies, processes and systems.
Knowledge and understanding of standard and non standard documentation and legislation Strong communication skills and ability to negotiate mutually acceptable outcomes with both internal and external stakeholders We encourage you to bring your fresh thinking to the table and to have the courage to challenge the way we currently do things.
