  • Our client is a renowned New Zealand business with the largest market share in their area of business. They are currently looking to employ an experience Group Finance Manager to join their team in their city fringes office.

    The Role

    Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role will ultimately be managing the financial, taxation and insurance requirements of the consolidated the whole Group.

    This involves meeting statutory, external and internal requirements in terms or reporting, controls, interaction with stakeholders and strategy delivery.

    You will have three direct reports and be responsible for the following :

  • Manage month-end processes with regards to P&L, Balance Sheet and forecasting and budgeting process
  • Manage the Group consolidation and reporting process across the business with contributions to Group and Board reporting
  • Handle the weekly and monthly cashflow forecasting and cash management for the group, this involves liaising with operations and banks to coordinate working capital funding
  • Manage the day to day financial compliance with the Groups debt facilities, including reporting requirements and covenant compliance
  • Manage the Group’s foreign exchange and interest rate risk through application of the Group treasury policy
  • Manage the Group’s payroll function and compliance with employee payment and IRD obligations Produce and provide technical accounting guidance to the Finance team
  • Manage the tax compliance for the Group including statutory reporting, income tax (tax returns), deferred tax, GST and FBT
  • Manage the validity of the fixed asset register
  • Deliver on ad hoc projects as requested
  • Key Skills and Requirements

  • CA (or equivalent)
  • Technical experience in statutory reporting, group consolidations and taxation (NZ tax compliance including Income Tax, PAYE, GST, FBT, WT)
  • 5 years experience post university qualifications and 3 years commercial experience
  • Advanced Excel skills
