Mō te tūnga The role

These roles are fixed term positions to 30 June 2022, and are based in Wellington or Christchurch. You will report to the Manager - Data Concepts and Design team.

The team is involved in designing, testing, and building household and business surveys for Stats NZ. We're a friendly bunch with a supportive and collaborative team culture.

In this role you will be working with Design Analysts from across the business, and Analysts and Developers from within the Data Concepts and Design team.

Starting salary : $76,571 - $103,597

Mōu About you

The ideal applicant will have experience in, or an aptitude for web based programming languages, with strong communication skills, working collaboratively and attention for detail.

  • Have experience in, or an aptitude for Blaise 5 or other programming languages
  • Are a fast learner with initiative and the ability to come up with innovative solutions
  • Demonstrate attention to detail
  • Have well developed interpersonal and relationship building skills in order to constructively engage with business units across Stats NZ
  • Value collaboration and enjoy working as part of a team
  • Have a passion for plain English, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
