Are you looking for a role where you can make a real difference in a developing city? As the Activity Manager Wastewater, you’ll be the lynch pin for all things wastewater.

You’ll be the sponsor and asset owner of all wastewater assets in Palmerston North. In this key role, you’ll be involved in activity planning, strategy and programme development as well as managing key operational activities.

This is your chance to influence a significant area of Council activities - you’ll be expected to a long-term strategic view, identifying opportunities and threats around the wastewater activity, developing mitigation strategies and advancing investigation and scoping work to develop forward programmes of work.

Your experience and qualifications will enable you to effectively collaborate with the project delivery team to deliver the capital works programmes as well as work with the water operations team who look after day to day to operation of the assets.

To be truly valuable in this role, you’ll be a skilled communicator able to prepare high quality strategic and planning documentation as well as interact effectively with a wide range of people in a professional and effective manner.

You will have a high degree of self-management and time management. As a strategic thinker you will also be able to develop new and improved processes, systems, and procedures.
