My client is looking for Product Manager for a consumer-facing app, to join a growing product team. Over the next year, there is an expectation to grow the user base to over 100,000 users, as well as building integrations with some major partners.

The role needs an adaptable and creative person as they will be responsible for solving our most difficult customer problems, developing our product approach - working as a conduit between our users and busines to ensure we deliver products that create user value and strategic alignment.

As part of a small team you’ll have a large impact on the direction of the app, and play a big part in supporting the future growth of the business strategy.

The day to day responsibilities include :

  • Product leadership including owning the short and long term product strategy and vision for your portfolio, in collaboration with the CPO
  • Developing a 12-month roadmap for your focus area
  • Ownership of the retention / engagement KPI for the consumer product, and oversight of all the related user analytics
  • Building a deep understanding of our users’ current and future needs (including competitor analysis).
  • Identifying and validating new product opportunities that are desirable (fulfils a human need), technologically feasible, and economically viable.
  • Prioritising quarterly focus areas to ensure we deliver strategic and user outcomes.
  • You will not only improve what we build, but you will also contribute to how we develop as an organisation.
  • Measurement of product performance against key metrics to drive an outcome-focused approach.
  • Growing a deep understanding of the needs and aspirations of the people our products are designed for
  • Product lifecycle management from go-to-market to end of life.
  • Ensuring a shared understanding of your product responsibilities across business goals and objectives.
  • CRITICAL COMPETENCIES :

  • A good strategist, creative thinker, pragmatic approach, and high EQ.
  • Understanding of best practice, and be able to constantly improve our core product while pushing into new areas as needed.
  • Adept in analytical capabilities with the ability to identify patterns and convert them into recommendations.
  • Energetic, driven, and enthusiastic.
  • Promote, encourage and be involved in the user testing of your ideas.
  • My client is an equal opportunity employer, this role is based in Wellington but is open to remote applicants within NZ.
