That's where you come in
We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Director - Transportation to take on a key technical leadership role working with, and across, our Auckland Transportation team (primarily) but also our wider infrastructure teams nationally.
The role will have strategic, mentoring, coaching, problem solving, networking and business development components, with a strong client relationship focus.
The role is based in our Parnell office.
You come from a civil engineering background and have a proven and extensive history in the transportation and infrastructure space, including transportation engineering, traffic and transportation planning, consenting as well as administration of construction contracts.
You'll have established local networks with Auckland Transport and Council. You'll have a minimum of 15 years of New Zealand-based Transportation sector experience and will ideally be CPEng registered.
You're personable and outgoing and will enjoy working in a friendly, collaborative environment full of solutions-focused colleagues.
You have outstanding verbal & written communication and you're self-motivated, as well as effective at motivating others.
What you'll be doing
As the Technical Director - Transportation, you'll be working at a national level to help influence and shape our strategic direction.
However, your primary work area will be the Auckland region and the surrounding high growth regions. You'll be a key leader and mentor within our Transportation discipline.
You'll also provide and manage the provision of technical advice, opinion, and reports across the country to ensure projects are delivered successfully.
You'll be expected to keep a high national profile in the industry, and to stay up to date with industry changes or amendments, as well as relay these changes across the business.
