The Head of Strategy will work closely with the Chief Strategy Officer, Leadership Team, relevant Business Directors, and the wider talent at OMD to deliver a consistent, world-class strategic and communications planning product to OMD's blue-chip clients.

You will take responsibility to guide and orchestrate the day-to-day operational delivery of our client partners' strategic requests whilst working to develop and enhance the broader agency's strategic capabilities. Experience :

  • 8 plus years' experience in media communications or similar industry
  • Client leadership
  • Strategic communications planning
  • Business Development including agency capability and new business success (identifying, nurturing, and converting valuable leads)
  • Team and People management and development
  • Award-winning portfolio of strategic work, demonstrating you are constantly curious, pioneering drive for excellence.
  • Skills and Experience :

  • Strong strategic vision
  • Passion for customer-first thinking
  • Ability to translate data into actionable outputs
  • Ability to present confidently to all levels from senior marketers to internal junior staff, pitching appropriately for your audience.
  • Ability to lead projects and project teams, while also being capable of working independently without micro-management.
  • A proactive attitude toward discovering and sharing new information, proactively pitching ideas to agency leadership, Business Directors and client teams, and striving to position OMD as the smartest comms partner.
  • Understanding of all digital disciplines (SEM, SEO, programmatic buying, social and influencer marketing, mobile, content including video, bespoke / publisher / tech-specific opportunities, CRM, and email marketing).
  • Understanding of media and billing systems e.g. DFA / DART, Sizmek (Mediamind), Nielsen NetRatings, Google Tools (i.e.
  • Analytics), Facebook, Google Partners Certification is an advantage

  • Understanding of the technical media landscape in order to apply this knowledge to briefs and help educate others ad networks, ad exchanges, ad servers, DSPs, SSPs, DMPs, CRM, device ID, IP, cookies, contextual targeting, behavioural, optimisation and measurement, dynamic delivery, retargeting, etc.
  • Understanding of Data-Driven marketing principles and wider measurement / attribution techniques such as Digital Pathway Modelling, Econometric Modelling along with more custom modeling initiatives.
