    We are all proudly contributing to making journeys better.We are looking for a Emergency Planning Assistant on a Fixed Term role for 6 months to assist in the planning and managing of Auckland Airport’s emergency management activities.

    The role assists the Manager to test that Auckland Airport has robust and practical response and contingency plans, in case of emergencies and situations that threaten airport operations as per the Aerodrome Emergency Plan.

    The role also ensures that any regulatory requirements pertaining to CAA Part 139 / 100 and the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act for these situations are met.

    This is a unique role in that it requires specialist knowledge and expertise in emergency planning & implementation, and Civil Defence requirements.

    The person in this role will have experience in the preparation, application and reporting of exercises of an emergency management nature.

    This requires good leadership and influencing skills across all levels of the organisation, and also with external stakeholders.

    To be successful in this role you will have : Minimum 5 years experience in emergency exercises with multiple stakeholders.

    Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement.Experience in risk management and risk management systemsExperience working with Emergency PlansAn understanding of the operations of civil defence organisations and the Civil Defence Act and associated documentation.

    Great relationship-building skills at all levels of the organisationGood working knowledge of relevant legal frameworks in New ZealandApplications for the roles closes on the 01 April 2019.
