Te Awakairangi Health Network (TeAHN) is a dynamic and innovative organisation that funds, provides and facilitates a wide range of primary healthcare services to people living in the Hutt Valley.
We are committed to embedding the Treaty of Waitangi in focused action so that Māori enjoy the same health status and access to primary health care services as non-Māori.
We are searching for an experienced Māori leader to work closely with our general practices, our community partners, our staff teams and our senior leadership team towards oritetanga, with pro-equity design and delivery of plans, programmes and services.
You will bring your knowledge and experience to inform, guide, and develop the Network’s strategic planning, practical action and cultural responsiveness for Māori.
You will have well-developed Te Reo Māori, tikanga me ona kaupapa skills that will enable you to lead and embed tīkanga and kawa within Te Awakairangi Health Network.
You will have responsibility for implementing effective training opportunities for people across the Network to ensure cultural safety in all service delivery.
We are looking for someone who is a great communicator, with the ability to establish trusting relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, and to inspire people to practise new ways of working.
Experience of working in primary care would be an advantage.
